Why St. Francis?
St. Francis of Assisi, the namesake of our clinics, was an Italian Roman Catholic friar, deacon, and preacher known for his deep compassion and humility. He believed that we are called to promote peace by caring for and protecting the natural world—serving as both stewards of God’s creation and creatures within it.
Many stories from his life reflect a profound love for animals and the environment, values that continue to resonate today. Because of the strong parallels between his mission and our own, we chose the name St. Francis Pet Hospital to reflect our commitment to compassionate care, respect for all living creatures, and the bond between people and their pets.
